Teej
Teej is a festival celebrated by women. Women take fasting on this day. Both married and unmarried girls take fasting on this day. Their is an belief, If the unmarried girls take fasting then they'll get good husband. And if the married womens take fasting then their husband would get good and healthy life and a long life too. They worship lord shiva on this day. We celebrate teej up to three days. The first day of teej is called 'Dar Khane Din'. Their would be many items of food to eat. On this day women gather together and eat a little more because the day after dar khane din is teej. They should take fast on that day. The third day of teej is called rishipanchami. On this day the girls and women worship "Sapta Rishi".Rishi Panchami is celebrated the next day afther Ganesh Chaturthi day in Bhadrapath month of the Lunar calendar.
